Time Allowed:

You are President of the GJ at a CSI3*

On Sunday afternoon, the Grand Prix has just started and the third horse (without refusal etc.) is in the arena. The Course Designer is with you in the jury box and you discuss the “Time Allowed”. As all the Officials feel that the T.A. is adequate, you decide to leave it as it is. At this moment, the Show Director enters the jury box and asks you to increase the T.A. by some seconds. His argument is that there is a big crowd watching the competition and he thinks that they want an exciting competition with some more Athletes in the jump-off. The other reason is that two weeks later there will be continental championships and some of the Athletes want to prepare their potential championship horse.

How do you deal with the Show Director’s request?
